Nigeria don’t deserve Goodluck Jonathan. And gold should be given to those who value it.As a president,he was on a mission running with a vision. But what people understand they want to destroy, what they don’t understand, they call names.Yet Goodluck was able define a new use for power. He scored first in many ways:sending Almajeris[street urchins] to school, trasforming the land scape meaningfully:economically, politically, socially. He wanted a New Nigeria indeed and proceded to build the foundation. His children are schooling in Nigeria. He never travelled out of the country except on important missions. The Ekpoma and Abakaliki rice had surfaced again.Nigeria was already exporting to neighbouring contries. The power section has been demystified and results will appear soon. The national conference was to put Nigeria in the class of successful nations. And Nigeria became Africa’s number one economy for the first time.Nothing he did from a selfish point of view.
So when he saw that he was miles ahead of the people,he simply dropped the batton. He didn’t mean to put himself in world spotlight, but he ended as a new darling.
Four years from now,Nigeria will realize they missed the chance to hit it at a particular time.
