I think that the welfare programs should be modified or replaced with a better program blocking all the loopholes so that able bodied and mentally sound people cannot get on board. As it is, it enables “laziness” in the society and politicians are scared of loosing their job and therefore won’t say the truth. Would any politician ever pass a lie detector test? Would stopping or modifying the welfare programs result increase productivities and economic growth? I do not have any problem with individuals who genuinely qualify for these benfits but I have issues with the cheaters. You know what, get up go find a job instead of staying at home watching video games and doing some other things that will completely turn life in south pole direction. Why would any able person succumb to self limitation in a society with so many opportunities? And for those teaching their children, friends, cousins etc on how to get on welfare programs…….please stop!
There are routs out of this self limitation called “welfare programs”; get a job, learn a trade or go to school. If you go to school, please do not study what you like but what can bring food on your table for the family and you grow to like it. Should public education on the disadvantages of welfare programs be initiated by every state government? I rest my case. Welcome to http://www.provocativedebate.com.
